For this Monday I have a motorbike related cartoon. To cut to the chase, here it is:
It’s not really MotoGP related. This year on Australia Day (January 26 if you’re outside Australia), the Victorian Police made it quite clear that they want to hunt down any law breakers. they are especially targeting the Motorcycle group.
If we overstep the mark we’ll get caught. I just rode around the block and farted. Do I qualify to get arrested for disorderly behaviour, environmental vandalism, public nuisance? Maybe. How do we know the law? we get massive fines over wearing tinted visors. It renders the helmet invalid and you could cop a fine of close to $300 and loose 3 demerit points.
Now I don’t know where you are. Here in Australia the sun is pretty bright. Wouldn’t you think it’s a sensible thing to do, to wear a pair of sunnies? Yes? Good. So do I. Whereas wearing a pair of sunglasses is just fine, fitting your helmet with a OEM tinted visor isn’t. It has to have a AS sticker on it (Australian Standard). You could buy those pesky little stickers on FleaBay. But I guess if you get caught you’d be in a whole lot of other calamities.
If drifting, sorry.
So I set out to draw this little cartoon. But my mind wasn’t fully on the task. I started to draw and ended up with this cartoon:
Not quite Australia Day themed. I still kind of liked it, that’s why it’s finished. That’s half my problem. My mind sometimes just drifts away. I sat down again and continued to draw that other cartoon. I don’t sketch up a lot. the drawing sometimes comes to me. I have a pretty good idea what I want to draw but it doesn’t always look the same once I’m finish.
On that note I leave you now so that you can open another tinny and enjoy the rest of Australia Day. Maybe you like to listen to Tripple J’s hottest 100?
