Do you know what happened to Stoner at the Suzuka 8 hour race? He stacked it. Although he gave a good explanation it was widely perceived as an excuse. Hence this cartoon.
These things just happen sometimes. I got a fair bit of backlash over it. They called me a Stoner hater. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I really like Casey. He’s a fantastic racer and doesn’t deserve to go out like that.
He call things the way they are. The throttle was stuck! And straight away it sound like an excuse. Honda later confirmed that the throttle was stuck open and apologised to Stoner. He ended up with a few broken bones.
I really hope he can recover quickly and get back on the horse soon.
