Joe Hockey, our treasurer, asked Sarah Ferguson from the ABC 7:30 program to say please before asking a question.
I slightly censored it so I don’t offend our younger readers. Let your imagination fill in the blanks.
Of course it is necessary to use correct language and manners in an interview. I don’t think they are rude and disrespect the interviewee. It’s more like, we have a job to do and that is asking questions. If they add a please in front of every question, the poor politicians might get even more confused. Half the time they don’t answer the question anyway. They say; “Good question, Sarah, ” and then ramble on about something no one understands.
Maybe an interview is like a game of dodgeball for them.
