Happy Australia Day 2016
Happy Australia Day. I think this is all I can say.
How are you celebrating Australia Day? Let me guess. You have a barbie and a few tinies? No? You’re not much of an Australian then. Nah, just kidding. I don’t care how you celebrate today. I don’t even care if you don’t celebrate. That’s your choice. You can join a party or host your own. Have a BBQ or a vegan salad. Have a beer or a shandy. What does it matter?
Some go for a ride, some sloop in. Others have to work, poo bastards, and many will go to the beach. At the end of the day it’s a day off for most of us. It’s that Sunday in the middle of the week. A lot of people have taken the Monday off as well for an extra long weekend. That’s what we do in Australia. We take sickies. The bosses know. There is a Monday or a Friday near a public holiday, you’re almost expected to take that day off as a sickie. Some probably would be better off taking the sickie on Wednesday. You know, all that booze you drank on Australia day?
I kind of like this cartoon. I like goofy animals. This was so much fu to draw. I won’t keep you here for any longer. Go and enjoy your day and have a wonderful Australia Day.
